Day 2

Hello everybody!

Thank you for all your contributions to the blog. All the messages have been delivered to the kids and they were very happy to know about you.

Yesterday it was a full day. We had lessons in the morning and, in the afternoon, we got on a coach and had a tour arround town. We visited the War Memorial and the beach among others. There was a guide who told us a lot about Scarborough and the history of the place. In the evening we had a cinema session. We watched "The Life of PI". It is a film about a boy in a boat with a tiger. It was nice and impressive.

The second day in Scarborough started with a bit of snow, but do not worry, it is not white at all. So far today we haven't seen the sun ; it's a bit windy and cold but it doesn't rain.We've spent the morning in the school and there is an afternoon game ahead waiting for us. We'll tell you more about that tomorrow.

We are very happy with the families, they all take very good care of us, but we are still getting used to the food. Families give us sandwiches in a packed lunch, but the flavour is so different from home that we miss homemade food a little bit.

All in all, we are having a good time and most important we are learning a lot. We are into two projects. A project about films and a project about food. We have big chances of practicing what we have been learning for years.

Hola  a tothom!

Primer de tot moltes gràcies per les vostres aprotacions al blog. Hem fet arribar els missatges a tothom i han estat molt contents de rebre notícies vostres.

Ahir va ser un dia complert. Vam tenir classe al matí i  a la tarda vam pujar en un autocar per fer una visita per la ciutat. Vam visitar els monument homenatge als soldats que van morir durant la primera guerra mundial i la platja entre altres. El guia ens va explicar moltes coses sobre Scarborough i la seva història. Al vespre vam assistir a la projecció d'una pel·lícula. Vam veure "La vida de Pi". És la història d'un noi en una barca amb un tigre. Va estar molt bé.

El segon dia a Scarborough ha començat amb una mica de neu, però no us preocupeu, el paisatge no és blanc. De moment avui no ha fet sol; fa una mica de vent i força fred però no plou. Hem passat el matí a l'escola i ens espera una tarda de jocs. Ja us n'explicarem més demà.

Estem molt contents amb les famílies, ens cuiden molt; però encara ens hem d'acostumar al menjar. Les famílies ens preparen uns entrepans per emportar però el gust no és ben bé el de casa i el trobem a faltar una mica.

En resum, estem gaudint molt de l'estada a la vegada que aprenem molt. Ara estem fent dos treballs diferents. Un sobre pel·lícules i un sobre menjar. Tenim moltes oportunitats de posar en pràctica allò que hem estat aprenent durant anys.
